Now you have had time to digest and reflect on your wedding day, is there anything you would do differently?

There isn’t a thing I would change I know cliche, but everything went well for us). I feel like if you pick good vendors and have the right people around you on the day even the hiccups aren’t a big deal

Is there a moment or part of your day that is etched into your mind, that you will just never forget?

That’s such a hard one as there are more than one stand out moment for me. The main two are; the initial moment I saw my husband to be and everyone that I love for the first time when walking down the aisle, I couldn’t help but smile. The other is when we snuck away for sunset photos on my parent's property, the lighting was amazing and it was just us in those moments. We could see our guests in the distance enjoying the evening and we had some moments of just the two of us.

When planning your wedding day, what details did you stress over, and what did you let slide?

LOCATION was our biggest stress; we went to so many places and decided to host it at my parent's property where I grew up. Definitely the right decision for us as we wanted it to be unique. I dried all the flowers myself, did all the signage and a lot of the decorations. My husband even made our dance floor and added LED lights - it’s definitely not for everyone as a lot of time went into the planning and creating but it reflected us and who we are (I’m a creative and he’s a builder).

I selected all vendors for their creative specialties and backgrounds, I didn’t want to micro manage those who are specialists in their fields.

Our photographers (Bayly and Moore) were actually the ones that assisted us the most in our timeline for things for the day with the daylight at that time of year to ensure we got the best photos we could, paid off big time!

What would be your one piece of advice for those currently planning their wedding day?

Go with your gut on things but also listen to your vendors and the advice they have; you won’t agree with all of it but they have seen a lot of weddings and are trying to help you create your dream day

Also, as everyone always says make sure you take moments to pause and take it all in during the day itself, it really does fly by!
